Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I practice Pilates?

How often you practice Pilates usually depends on your goals. To realize the full benefits, Pilates should be practiced 2 to 3 times a week.  A Pilates practice could include private sessions, group classes and a personal home practice.  As you are learning Pilates or advancing to a new level, working one-on-one with a teacher is important to assure you are doing exercises correctly and maintaining good form.

What should I wear for my Pilates session?

You should wear comfortable, well-fitting workout clothing that provides coverage when in a variety of seated or standing positions and lying down.  Most people wear what they would to a yoga class.  Men who want to wear basketball style long shorts should wear compression shorts as an underlayer.

Long hair should be tied back and secure.  Some types of jewelry (earrings, rings, long necklaces) may need to be removed for safe movement and use of the equipment.

Pilates is practiced barefoot or wearing special socks with grippers on the soles (sometimes called yoga, barre or studio socks).

I am coming from work - is there a place I can change?

Yes, there is private, full-sized bathroom available for studio clients to change and clean up after a session.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Source Pilates is equipped to take cash, checks, debit and mastercard/visa cards.  Payment is required prior to the start of a session if you are not a pre-paid package holder.

What if I can't make it to my scheduled session?

Notify me by email or phone as soon as you know you cannot keep your appointment.  If a cancellation is received less than 24 hours prior to your appointment time, you will be charged for the full amount of the missed appointment.

Is there an expiration date on multi-session packages?

Yes.  All packages expire six months from  the date of purchase.
